حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يَجِيءُ الْقُرْآنُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَالرَّجُلِ الشَّاحِبِ، فَيَقُولُ: أَنَا الَّذِي أَسْهَرْتُ لَيْلَكَ، وَأَظْمَأْتُ نَهَارَكَ .
بریدہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: قیامت کے دن قرآن ایک تھکے ماندے شخص کی صورت میں آئے گا، اور حافظ قرآن سے کہے گا کہ میں نے ہی تجھے رات کو جگائے رکھا، اور دن کو پیاسا رکھا ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Ibn Buraidah that his father told that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: The Quran will come on the Day of Resurrection, like a pale man, and will say: 'I am the one that kept you awake at night and made you thirsty during the day.
