حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ: أَنَّ قَرِيبًا لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ خَذَفَ، فَنَهَاهُ، وَقَالَ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى، عَنِ الْخَذْفِ، وَقَالَ: إِنَّهَا لَا تَصِيدُ صَيْدًا، وَلَا تَنْكَأُ عَدُوًّا، وَلَكِنَّهَا تَكْسِرُ السِّنَّ، وَتَفْقَأُ الْعَيْنَ ، قَالَ: فَعَادَ، فَقَالَ: أُحَدِّثُكَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهُ، ثُمَّ عُدْتَ لَا أُكَلِّمُكَ أَبَدًا.
سعید بن جبیر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ عبداللہ بن مغفل رضی اللہ عنہ کے ایک رشتہ دار نے کنکری ماری، تو انہوں نے اسے منع کیا اور کہا کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کنکری مارنے سے منع فرمایا ہے، اور فرمایا ہے: نہ اس ( کنکری مارنے ) سے شکار ہوتا ہے، اور نہ یہ دشمن کو زخمی کرتی ہے، ہاں البتہ اس سے دانت ٹوٹ جاتا ہے، اور آنکھ پھوٹ جاتی ہے ، اس شخص نے پھر کنکری ماری تو عبداللہ بن مغفل رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: میں تم سے حدیث بیان کر رہا ہوں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے منع فرمایا ہے، اور تم پھر وہی کام کر رہے ہو، اب میں تم سے کبھی بھی بات چیت نہیں کروں گا ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Sa’eed bin Jubair that a relative of ‘Abdullah bin Mughaffal threw some small pebbles. He told him not to do that and said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade throwing small pebbles and said: ‘They do not kill any game nor hurt the enemy, but they can break a tooth or put out an eye.’” He did it again, and he (‘Abdullah) said: “I tell you that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade that and then you go and do it again? I will never speak to you again.”
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded that dogs be killed, then he said: “What do they use dogs for?” Then he permitted them to keep hunting dogs.
