عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میت پر نوحہ کرنا جاہلیت کا کام ہے، اگر نوحہ کرنے والی عورت توبہ کرنے سے پہلے مر جائے، تو وہ قیامت کے دن اس حال میں اٹھائی جائے گی کہ تارکول کی قمیص پہنے ہو گی، اور اس کو اوپر سے جہنم کی آگ کے شعلوں کی ایک قمیص پہنا دی جائے گی ۔

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Wailing over the dead is one of the affairs of the Days of Ignorance and if the woman who wails does not repent before she dies, she will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection wearing a shirt of pitch (tar), over which she will wear a shirt of flaming fire.”
