حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، جَمِيعًا عَنْمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: لَمَّا حَضَرَتْ كَعْبًا الْوَفَاةُ أَتَتْهُ أُمُّ بِشْرٍ بِنْتُ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَعْرُورٍ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، إِنْ لَقِيتَ فُلَانًا فَاقْرَأْ عَلَيْهِ مِنِّي السَّلَامَ ، قَالَ: غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكِ يَا أُمَّ بِشْرٍ، نَحْنُ أَشْغَلُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، قَالَتْ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَمَا سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ أَرْوَاحَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي طَيْرٍ خُضْرٍ، تَعْلُقُ فِي شَجَرِ الْجَنَّةِ ، قَالَ: بَلَى، قَالَتْ: فَهُوَ ذَاكَ.
عبدالرحمٰن بن کعب بن مالک بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جب ان کے والد کعب رضی اللہ عنہ کی وفات کا وقت آیا، تو ان کے پاس ام بشر بنت براء بن معرور ( رضی اللہ عنہما ) آئیں، اور کہنے لگیں: اے ابوعبدالرحمٰن! اگر فلاں سے آپ کی ملاقات ہو تو ان کو میرا سلام کہیں، کعب رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: اے ام بشر! اللہ تمہیں بخشے، ہمیں اتنی فرصت کہاں ہو گی کہ ہم لوگوں کا سلام پہنچاتے پھریں، انہوں نے کہا: اے ابوعبدالرحمٰن! کیا آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے نہیں سنا: مومنوں کی روحیں سبز پرندوں کی صورت میں ہوں گی، اور جنت کے درختوں سے کھاتی چرتی ہوں گی ، کعب رضی اللہ عنہ کہا: کیوں نہیں، ضرور سنی ہے، تو انہوں نے کہا: بس یہی مطلب ہے۔
It was narrated from ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Ka’b bin Malik, about Ka’b: “When Ka’b was dying, Umm Bishr bint Bara’ bin Ma’rur came to him and said: ‘O Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman! If you meet so-and-so, convey Salam to him from me.’ He said: ‘May Allah forgive you, O Umm Bishr! We are too busy to think of that.’ She said: ‘O Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman! Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “The souls of the believers are in green birds, eating from the trees of Paradise”?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ She said: ‘That is what I mean.’”
It was narrated that ‘Ali said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The Muslim has six courtesies due from the Muslim: He should greet him with Salam when he meets him; he should accept his invitation if he invites him; he should answer [by Yarhamuk-Allah (may Allah have mercy on you)] to him if he sneezes (and says Al- Hamdulillah); he should visit him if he falls sick; he should follow his funeral if he dies; and he should love for him what he loves for himself.”
