حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ، قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ: أَيُّ أَصْحَابِهِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ؟، قَالَتْ: أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ أَيُّهُمْ قَالَتْ: عُمَرُ، قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ أَيُّهُمْ، قَالَتْ: أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ .
عبداللہ بن شقیق کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابہ میں آپ کو سب سے زیادہ کون محبوب تھا؟ کہا: ابوبکر، میں نے پوچھا: پھر کون؟ کہا: عمر، میں نے پوچھا: پھر کون؟ کہا: ابوعبیدہ ۱؎۔
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Shaqiq said: I said to 'Aishah: 'Which of the (Prophet's) Companions was most beloved to him?' She said: 'Abu Bakr.' I said: 'Then which of them?' She said: ''Umar.' I said: 'Then which of them?' She said: 'Abu 'Ubaidah.'
Abu Hurairah narrated that: The Prophet said: Whatever I have commanded you do it, and whatever I have forbidden you, refrain from it.
