أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ. ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ امْرَأَتِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُخْتِ حُذَيْفَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ،‏‏‏‏ أَمَا لَكُنَّ فِي الْفِضَّةِ مَا تَحَلَّيْنَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنَ امْرَأَةٍ تَحَلَّتْ ذَهَبًا تُظْهِرُهُ إِلَّا عُذِّبَتْ بِهِ .

حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی بہن کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم سے خطاب کیا تو فرمایا: ”اے عورتوں کی جماعت! کیا تم چاندی کا زیور نہیں بنا سکتیں؟ دیکھو، تم میں سے جو عورت دکھانے کے لیے سونے کا زیور پہنے گی اسے عذاب ہو گا“۔

It was narrated from Rib'i, from his wife, that the sister of Hudhaifah said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] addressed us and said: 'O women, do you not have any silver to wear for adornment? For there is no woman among you who wears gold and shows it, but she will be punished because of it.'
