أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زَاذَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةً مَمْلُوكِينَ لَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَغَضِبَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ لَا أُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ دَعَا مَمْلُوكِيهِ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً .

عمران بن حصین رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   ایک شخص نے موت کے وقت اپنے چھ غلام آزاد کر دیئے، اس کے پاس ان کے علاوہ اور کوئی مال ( مال و اسباب ) نہ تھا، یہ بات نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو معلوم ہوئی تو آپ اس سے ناراض ہوئے، اور فرمایا: ”میں نے ارادہ کیا کہ اس کی نماز جنازہ نہ پڑھوں“، پھر آپ نے اس کے غلاموں کو بلایا، اور ان کے تین حصے کیے، پھر ان کے درمیان قرعہ اندازی کی، اور دو کو آزاد کر دیا، اور چار کو رہنے دیا۔

It was narrated from 'Imran bin Husain that: a man freed six slaves of his when he was dying, and he did not have any wealth apart from them. News of that reached the Prophet and he was angry about that. He said: I was thinking of not offering the funeral prapyer for him. Then he called the slaves and divided them into three groups. He cast lost among them, then freed two and left four as slaves.

Whoever insists on praying for it let him say: Allahumma ahini ma kanatil-hayatu khairanli wa tawaffani idha kanatil-wafatu khairanli (O Allah, keep me alive so long as life is good for me, and cause me to die when death is good for me.)
