أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا وُضِعَتِ الْجَنَازَةُ فَاحْتَمَلَهَا الرِّجَالُ عَلَى أَعْنَاقِهِمْ، فَإِنْ كَانَتْ صَالِحَةً، قَالَتْ: قَدِّمُونِي قَدِّمُونِي، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ غَيْرَ صَالِحَةٍ، قَالَتْ: يَا وَيْلَهَا إِلَى أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ بِهَا ؟ ! يَسْمَعُ صَوْتَهَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا الْإِنْسَانَ، وَلَوْ سَمِعَهَا الْإِنْسَانُ لَصَعِقَ .
ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب جنازہ ( چارپائی پر ) رکھا جاتا ہے ( اور ) لوگ اسے اپنے کندھوں پہ اٹھاتے ہیں، تو اگر وہ نیکوکار ہوتا ہے تو کہتا ہے: مجھے جلدی لے چلو، مجھے جلدی لے چلو، اور اگر برا ہوتا ہے تو کہتا ہے: ہائے اس کی ہلاکت! تم اسے کہاں لے جا رہے ہو، اس کی آواز ہر چیز سنتی ہے سوائے انسان کے، اگر انسان اسے سن لے تو بیہوش ہو جائے ۔
Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'When the Janazah (prepared body) is placed (on the bier) and the men lift it onto their shoulders, if it was a righteous person it says: Take me quickly, take me quickly. And if it was not a righteous person it says: Woe to me! Where are you taking me! And everything hears its voice except man, and if man heard it he would faint. '

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: None of you should wish for death. Either he is a doer of good, so perhaps he may do more good, or he is an evildoer but perhaps he will give up his evil ways.
