حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عُرْوَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ ابْنُ نُفَيْلٍ بْنُ قُشَيْرٍ أَبُو مَهَلٍ الْجُعْفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رَهْطٍ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ، فَبَايَعْنَاهُ وَإِنَّ قَمِيصَهُ لَمُطْلَقُ الْأَزْرَارِ، قَالَ: فَبَايَعْتُهُ ثُمَّ أَدْخَلْتُ يَدَيَّ فِي جَيْبِ قَمِيصِهِ، فَمَسِسْتُ الْخَاتَمَ ، قَالَ عُرْوَةُ: فَمَا رَأَيْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَلَا ابْنَهُ قَطُّ إِلَّا مُطْلِقَيْ أَزْرَارِهِمَا فِي شِتَاءٍ وَلَا حَرٍّ وَلَا يُزَرِّرَانِ أَزْرَارَهُمَا أَبَدًا.
قرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں قبیلہ مزینہ کی ایک جماعت کے ساتھ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا پھر ہم نے آپ سے بیعت کی، آپ کچھ قمیص کے بٹن کھلے ہوئے تھے، میں نے آپ سے بیعت کی پھر اپنا ہاتھ آپ کی قمیص کے گریبان میں داخل کیا اور مہر نبوت کو چھوا۔ عروہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے معاویہ اور ان کے بیٹے کی قمیص کے بٹن جاڑا ہو یا گرمی ہمیشہ کھلے دیکھے، یہ دونوں کبھی بٹن لگاتے ہی نہیں تھے اپنے گریبان ہمیشہ کھلے رکھتے تھے۔
Muawiyah bin Qurrah quoted his father as saying: I came to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم with a company of Muzainah and we swore allegiance to him. The buttons of his shirt were open. I swore allegiance to him and I put my hand inside the collar of his shirt and felt the seal. Urwah said: I always saw Muawiyah and his son opening their buttons of the collar during winter and summer. They never closed their buttons.

Narrated Abu Saeed al-Khudri: When the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم put on a new garment he mentioned it by name, turban or shirt, and would then say: O Allah, praise be to Thee! as Thou hast clothed me with it, I ask Thee for its good and the good of that for which it was made, and I seek refuge in Thee from its evil and the evil of that for which it was made. Abu Nadrah said: When any of the Companions of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم put on a new garment, he was told: May you wear it out and may Allah give you another in its place.

Abu Dawud said: Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi did not mention the name of Abu Saeed. Hammad bin Salamah said: From al-Jariri, from Abu al-'Ala, from the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. Abu Dawud said: The hearing of this tradition by Hammad bin Salamah and Thaqafi is of the same nature.

Narrated Muadh ibn Anas: The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: If anyone eats food and then says: Praise be to Allah Who has fed me with this food and provided me with it through no might and power on my part, he will be forgiven his former and later sins. Narrated Umm Khalid, daughter of Saad bin al-As: Once the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was brought some garments among which was a small cloak with a border and black stripes. He said: Whom do you think to be more deserving for it ? The people kept silence. He said: Bring Umm Khalid. The she was carried to him and he put it on her, saying: Wear it out and make it ragged twice. Then he went on looking at red or yellow marks on it, and said: This is sanah, sanah, Umm Khalid. It means beautiful in the language of the Abyssinians.
