حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ بَيْنَا هُوَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، إِذْ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: أَتَحْتَبِسُونِ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ ؟ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: مَا هُوَ إِلَّا أَنْ سَمِعْتُ النِّدَاءَ فَتَوَضَّأْتُ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: وَالْوُضُوءُ أَيْضًا، أَوَ لَمْ تَسْمَعُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمُ الْجُمُعَةَ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ .
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ جمعہ کا خطبہ دے رہے تھے کہ اسی دوران ایک آدمی ۱؎ داخل ہوا تو آپ نے کہا: کیا تم لوگ نماز ( میں اول وقت آنے ) سے رکے رہتے ہو؟ اس شخص نے کہا: جوں ہی میں نے اذان سنی ہے وضو کر کے آ گیا ہوں، اس پر عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: اچھا صرف وضو ہی؟ کیا تم لوگوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے نہیں سنا ہے: جب تم میں سے کوئی جمعہ کے لیے آئے تو چاہیئے کہ غسل کرے ۔
Abu Hurairah said: While Umar bin al-Khattab was making a speech on Friday (in the mosque), a man came in. Umar said: Are you detained from prayer ? The man said: As soon as I heard the call for prayer, I perfumed ablution. Then Umar said: Only ablution ? Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say: When any one of you comes for Friday (prayer) he should take a bath.
Narrated Mughirah ibn Shubah: When the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم went (outside) to relieve himself, he went to a far-off place.

Read CompleteAbu al-Tayyah reported on the authority of a shaykh (an old man): When Abdullah ibn Abbas came to Basrah, people narrated to him traditions from Abu Musa. Therefore Ibn Abbas wrote to him asking him about certain things. In reply Abu Musa wrote to him saying: One day I was in the company of theMessenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. He wanted to urinate. Then he came to a soft ground at the foot of a wall and urinated. He (the Prophet) then said: If any of you wants to urinate, he should look for a place (like this) for his urination.
