حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍمِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَعَلَّكُمْ تُقَاتِلُونَ قَوْمًا فَتَظْهَرُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَتَّقُونَكُمْ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ دُونَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَأَبْنَائِهِمْ ، قَالَ سَعِيدٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: فَيُصَالِحُونَكُمْ عَلَى صُلْحٍ، ثُمَّ اتَّفَقَا فَلَا تُصِيبُوا مِنْهُمْ شَيْئًا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَصْلُحُ لَكُمْ.
جہینہ کے ایک شخص کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ایسا ہو سکتا ہے کہ تم ایک قوم سے لڑو اور اس پر غالب آ جاؤ تو وہ تمہیں مال ( جزیہ ) دے کر اپنی جانوں اور اپنی اولاد کو تم سے بچا لیں ۔ سعید کی روایت میں ہے: «فيصالحونكم على صلح» پھر وہ تم سے صلح پر مصالحت کر لیں پھر ( مسدد اور سعید بن منصور دونوں راوی آگے کی بات پر ) متفق ہو گئے کہ: جتنے پر مصالحت ہو گئی ہو اس سے زیادہ کچھ بھی نہ لینا کیونکہ یہ تمہارے واسطے درست نہیں ہے۔
Narrated A man of Juhaynah: The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: Probably you will fight with a people, you will dominate them, and they will save themselves and their children by their property. The version of Saeed has You will then conclude peace with them. The agreed version goes: Then do no take anything from them more than that, for it is not proper for you.
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as saying: Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock. The amir (ruler) who is over the people is a shepherd and is responsible for hs flock ; a man is a shepherd in charge of the inhabitants of his household and he is responsible for his flock ; a woman is a shepherdess in charge of her husband's house and children and she is responsible for them; and a man's slave is a shepherd in charge of his master's property and he is responsible for it. So each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.
