حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ مُسْلِمًا عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ جَاءَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ مُسْلِمَةً بَعْدَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّهَا قَدْ كَانَتْ أَسْلَمَتْ مَعِي فَرُدَّهَا عَلَيَّ .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں ایک شخص مسلمان ہو کر آیا پھر اس کے بعد اس کی بیوی بھی مسلمان ہو کر آ گئی، تو اس نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! یہ میرے ساتھ ہی مسلمان ہوئی ہے تو آپ اسے میرے پاس لوٹا دیجئیے۔

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: A man came after embracing Islam during the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. Afterwards his wife came after embracing Islam. He said: Messenger of Allah, she embraced Islam along with me; so restore her to me.

Hadith 2179

Abdullah bin Umar said that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating during the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. So Umar bin Al Khattab asked the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم about this matter. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said “Order him, he must take her back and keep her back till she is purified, then has another menstrual period and is purified. Thereafter if he desires he may divorce her before having intercourse with her, for that is the period of waiting which Allaah the Glorified has commanded for the divorce of women. ”
