حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ وَهُوَ جَدُّ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ: هَلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تُرِيَنِي كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ؟ فَقَالَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ: نَعَمْ، فَدَعَا بِوَضُوءٍ، فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ تَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ فَأَقْبَلَ بِهِمَا وَأَدْبَرَ، بَدَأَ بِمُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ بِهِمَا إِلَى قَفَاهُ ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي بَدَأَ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ .
یحییٰ مازنی کہتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے عبداللہ بن زید بن عاصم ( جو عمرو بن یحییٰ مازنی کے نانا ہیں ) سے کہا: کیا آپ مجھے دکھا سکتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کس طرح وضو فرماتے تھے؟ تو عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: ہاں، پس آپ نے وضو کے لیے پانی منگایا، اور اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں پر ڈالا اور اپنے دونوں ہاتھ دھوئے، پھر تین بار کلی کی، اور تین بار ناک جھاڑی، پھر تین بار اپنا چہرہ دھویا، پھر دونوں ہاتھ کہنیوں تک دو دو بار دھوئے، پھر اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں سے اپنے سر کا مسح کیا، ان دونوں کو آگے لے آئے اور پیچھے لے گئے اس طرح کہ اس کی ابتداء اپنے سر کے اگلے حصے سے کی، پھر انہیں اپنی گدی تک لے گئے پھر انہیں اسی جگہ واپس لے آئے جہاں سے شروع کیا تھا، پھر اپنے دونوں پیر دھوئے۔
Amr bin Yahya al-Mazini reports on the authority of his father who asked Abdullah bin Zaid, the grandfather of Amr bin Yahya al-Mazini: Can you show me how the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم performed ablution? Abdullah bin Zaid replied: Yes. He called for ablution water, poured it over his hands, and washed them; then he rinsed his mouth and snuffed up water in the nose three times; then he washed his face three times and washed his forearms up to elbow twice; then he wiped his head with both hands, moving them front and back of the head, beginning from his forehead, and moved them to the nape; then he pulled them back to the place from where he had started (wiping); then he washed his feet.
Narrated Mughirah ibn Shubah: When the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم went (outside) to relieve himself, he went to a far-off place.

Read CompleteAbu al-Tayyah reported on the authority of a shaykh (an old man): When Abdullah ibn Abbas came to Basrah, people narrated to him traditions from Abu Musa. Therefore Ibn Abbas wrote to him asking him about certain things. In reply Abu Musa wrote to him saying: One day I was in the company of theMessenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. He wanted to urinate. Then he came to a soft ground at the foot of a wall and urinated. He (the Prophet) then said: If any of you wants to urinate, he should look for a place (like this) for his urination.
