حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِعَمَّارٍ حِينَ جَعَلَ يَحْفِرُ الْخَنْدَقَ وَجَعَلَ يَمْسَحُ رَأْسَهُ وَيَقُولُ بُؤْسَ ابْنِ سُمَيَّةَ تَقْتُلُكَ فِئَةٌ بَاغِيَةٌ
محمد بن جعفر نے کہا : ہمیں شعبہ نے ابو مسلمہ سے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے کہا : میں نے ابو نضرہ سے سنا ، وہ حضرت ابو سعید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کر رہے تھے انھوں نے کہا : ایک ایسے شخص نے مجھے بتایا جو مجھ سے بہتر ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جب آپ نے خندق کھودنے کا آغاز کیاتو عمار رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ایک بات ارشاد فرمائی ، آپ ان کے سر پر ہاتھ پھیرنے اور فرمانے لگے ۔ سمیہ کے بیٹے کی مصیبت !تمھیں ایک باغی گروہ قتل کرے گا ۔ "
Abu Sa`id Khudri reported: One who is better than I informed me, that Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said to `Ammar as he was digging the ditch (on the ocassion of the Battle of the Ditch) wiping over his head: O son of Summayya, you will be involved in trouble and a group of the rebels would kill you.

And Sufyan made a sign of ten with the help of his hand (in order to indicate the width of the gap) and I said: Allah's Messenger, would we be perished in spite of the fact that there would be good people amongst us? Thereupon he said: Of course, but only when the evil predominates.

Zainab bint Jahsh, the wife of Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), reported that one day Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) came out in a state of excitement with his face quite red. And he was saying: There is no god but Allah; there is a destruction in store for Arabia because of the turmoil which is near at hand as the barrier of Gog and Magog has been opened like it, and he (in order to explain it) made a ring with the help of his thumb and forefinger. I said: Allah's Messenger, would we be destroyed despite the fact that there would be pious people amongst us? He said: Yes, when evil would be predominant.
