و حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يُبْعَثُ كُلُّ عَبْدٍ عَلَى مَا مَاتَ عَلَيْهِ

  جریر نے اعمش سے ، انھوں نے ابو سفیان سے اور انھوں نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا : " ہر شخص کو ( ایمان اور امید کی ) اسی کیفیت میں اٹھایا جائے گا جس پر اس کو موت آئی تھی ۔ "

Jabir reported: I heard Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying. Every servant would be raised (in the same very state) in which he dies.

A person said: Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, we love your talk and so we yearn (to listen to you) and earnestly desire that you should deliver us lecture every day. Thereupon he said: There is nothing to hinder me in giving you talk (every day) but the fact that you may be bored. Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) did not deliver sermons on certain days (fearing that we might be bored).

He then recited: No soul knows what comfort has been concealed from them, as a reward for what they did . (xxxii. 17)
