وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ مَكَّةَ، وَقَدْ وَهَنَتْهُمْ حُمَّى يَثْرِبَ، قَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ: إِنَّهُ يَقْدَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ غَدًا قَوْمٌ قَدْ وَهَنَتْهُمُ الْحُمَّى، وَلَقُوا مِنْهَا شِدَّةً، فَجَلَسُوا مِمَّا يَلِي الْحِجْرَ، وَأَمَرَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَرْمُلُوا ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْوَاطٍ، وَيَمْشُوا مَا بَيْنَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ، لِيَرَى الْمُشْرِكُونَ جَلَدَهُمْ، فَقَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ: هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّ الْحُمَّى قَدْ وَهَنَتْهُمْ، هَؤُلَاءِ أَجْلَدُ مِنْ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: «وَلَمْ يَمْنَعْهُ أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُمْ أَنْ يَرْمُلُوا الْأَشْوَاطَ كُلَّهَا، إِلَّا الْإِبْقَاءُ عَلَيْهِمْ»
سعید بن جبیر نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : اللہ کےرسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور آپ کے صحابہ رضوان اللہ عنھم اجمعین ( عمرہ قضا کےلیے ) مکہ آئے تو انھیں یثرب ( مدینہ ) کے بخار نے کمزور کردیا تھا ۔ مشرکین نے کہا : کل تمھارے ہاں ایسے لوگ آرہے ہیں جنھیں بخار نے کمزور کردیا ہے ۔ اورانھیں اس سے بڑی تکلیف پہنچی ہے ۔ اور وہ لوگ حطیم کے ساتھ ( لگ کر ) بیٹھ گئے ۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان ( اپنے صحابہ رضوان اللہ عنھم اجمعین ) کو حکم دیا کہ بیت اللہ کے تین چکروں میں چھوٹے قدموں کی تیز ، مضبوط چال چلیں ، اور دونوں ( یمانی ) کونوں کےدرمیان عام چال چلیں تاکہ مشرکوں کوان کی مضبوطی نظرآجائے ۔ ( مسلمانوں کی مضبوط چال دیکھ کر ) مشرکوں نے کہا : یہی لوگ ہیں جن کے بارے میں تمھارا خیال تھا کہ انھیں بخار نے کمزور کردیا ہے ۔ یہ تو فلاں فلاں سے بھی زیادہ مضبوط ہیں ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا : انھیں پورے چکروں میں رمل نہ کرنے کاحکم دینے سے ، آپ کو محض اس شفقت نے روکا جو آپ ان پر فرماتے تھے ۔
Ibn 'Abbas (At lab be pleased with them) reported: Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and his Companions came to Mecca and the fever in Medina had weakened them. Thereupon the polytheists (of Mecca) said: There would come to you a people whom the fever has made weak and they have suffered severely from it. They sat in Hatim. Thereupon Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) commanded them to walk quickly ift three circuits and walk (in four) between the two corners. so that the polytheists should. see their endurance. The polytheists then said (to one anothery You were under the impression that fever had emaciated them. whereas they are stronger than so and so. Ibn Abbas said: He (the Holy Prophet) did not command them (the Muslims) to walk quickly in all the circuits out of kindness to them.
Salim reported on the authority of his father ('Abdullah b. 'Umar) that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) was asked what a Muhrim should wear, whereupon he said: A Muhrim should not wear a shirt, or a turban, or a cap, or trousers, or a cloth touched with wars or with saffron, nor (should he wear) stockings, but in case he does not find shoes, but (before wearing stockings) be should trim them (in such a way) that these should become lower than the ankles.
