حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : لَا يَلْبَسُ الْمُحْرِمُ : الْقَمِيصَ ، وَلَا الْعِمَامَةَ ، وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَ ، وَلَا الْبُرْنُسَ ، وَلَا ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ زَعْفَرَانٌ ، وَلَا وَرْسٌ ، وَلَا الْخُفَّيْنِ ، إِلَّا لِمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدِ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْهُمَا فَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ .
ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے سفیان ثوری نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے زہری سے سنا، انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھے سالم نے خبر دی، انہیں ان کے والد (عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما) نے خبر دی کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ محرم قمیص نہ پہنے , نہ عمامہ پہنے , نہ پاجامہ , نہ برنس اور نہ کوئی ایسا کپڑا پہنے جس میں زعفران اور ورس لگا ہو اور نہ موزے پہنے البتہ اگر کسی کو چپل نہ ملیں تو موزوں کو ٹخنوں کے نیچے تک کاٹ دے ( پھر پہنے ) ۔
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: The Prophet said, A Muhrim should not wear a shirt, a turban, trousers, hooded cloaks, a garment touched with (perfumes) of saffron or wars, or Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather) except if one has no sandals in which case he should cut short the Khuffs below the ankles.

He then offered a two-rak`at prayer while facing the stick, and I saw the people and animals passing in front of him beyond the stick.
