حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تُقْسِطُوا فِي الْيَتَامَى سورة النساء آية 3 ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا ابْنَ أُخْتِي ، هَذِهِ الْيَتِيمَةُ تَكُونُ فِي حَجْرِ وَلِيِّهَا ، تَشْرَكُهُ فِي مَالِهِ وَيُعْجِبُهُ مَالُهَا وَجَمَالُهَا ، فَيُرِيدُ وَلِيُّهَا أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا بِغَيْرِ أَنْ يُقْسِطَ فِي صَدَاقِهَا ، فَيُعْطِيَهَا مِثْلَ مَا يُعْطِيهَا غَيْرُهُ ، فَنُهُوا عَنْ أَنْ يَنْكِحُوهُنَّ إِلَّا أَنْ يُقْسِطُوا لَهُنَّ ، وَيَبْلُغُوا لَهُنَّ أَعْلَى سُنَّتِهِنَّ فِي الصَّدَاقِ ، فَأُمِرُوا أَنْ يَنْكِحُوا مَا طَابَ لَهُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ سِوَاهُنَّ ، قَالَ عُرْوَةُ : قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : وَإِنَّ النَّاسَ اسْتَفْتَوْا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَيَسْتَفْتُونَكَ فِي النِّسَاءِ سورة النساء آية 127 ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : وَقَوْلُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى فِي آيَةٍ أُخْرَى : وَتَرْغَبُونَ أَنْ تَنْكِحُوهُنَّ سورة النساء آية 127 رَغْبَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ عَنْ يَتِيمَتِهِ حِينَ تَكُونُ قَلِيلَةَ الْمَالِ وَالْجَمَالِ ، قَالَتْ : فَنُهُوا أَنْ يَنْكِحُوا عَنْ مَنْ رَغِبُوا فِي مَالِهِ وَجَمَالِهِ فِي يَتَامَى النِّسَاءِ إِلَّا بِالْقِسْطِ ، مِنْ أَجْلِ رَغْبَتِهِمْ عَنْهُنَّ إِذَا كُنَّ قَلِيلَاتِ الْمَالِ وَالْجَمَالِ .

ہم سے عبدالعزیز بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے ابراہیم بن سعد نے بیان کیا، ان سے صالح بن کیسان نے، ان سے ابن شہاب نے، انہوں نے کہا مجھ کو عروہ بن زبیر نے خبر دی   انہوں نے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے آیت «وإن خفتم أن لا تقسطوا في اليتامى‏» کا مطلب پوچھا۔ انہوں نے کہا میرے بھانجے اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ ایک یتیم لڑکی اپنے ولی کی پرورش میں ہو اور اس کی جائیداد کی حصہ دار ہو ( ترکے کی رو سے اس کا حصہ ہو ) اب اس ولی کو اس کی مالداری خوبصورتی پسند آئے۔ اس سے نکاح کرنا چاہے پر انصاف کے ساتھ پورا مہر جتنا مہر اس کو دوسرے لوگ دیں، نہ دینا چاہے، تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس آیت میں لوگوں کو ایسی یتیم لڑکیوں کے ساتھ جب تک ان کا پورا مہر انصاف کے ساتھ نہ دیں، نکاح کرنے سے منع فرمایا اور ان کو یہ حکم دیا کہ تم دوسری عورتوں سے جو تم کو بھلی لگیں نکاح کر لو۔ ( یتیم لڑکی کا نقصان نہ کرو ) عروہ نے کہا عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی تھیں، اس آیت کے اترنے کے بعد لوگوں نے پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس بارے میں مسئلہ پوچھا، اس وقت اللہ نے یہ آیت «ويستفتونك في النساء‏» اتاری۔ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا دوسری آیت میں یہ جو فرمایا «وترغبون أن تنكحوهن‏» یعنی وہ یتیم لڑکیاں جن کا مال و جمال کم ہو اور تم ان کے ساتھ نکاح کرنے سے نفرت کرو۔ اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ جب تم ان یتیم لڑکیوں سے جن کا مال و جمال کم ہو نکاح کرنا نہیں چاہتے تو مال اور جمال والی یتیم لڑکیوں سے بھی جن سے تم کو نکاح کرنے کی رغبت ہے نکاح نہ کرو، مگر جب انصاف کے ساتھ ان کا مہر پورا ادا کرو۔

Narrated `Urwa bin Az-Zubair: That he asked `Aisha regarding the Statement of Allah: If you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphan girls... (4.3) She said, O son of my sister! An Orphan girl used to be under the care of a guardian with whom she shared property. Her guardian, being attracted by her wealth and beauty, would intend to marry her without giving her a just Mahr, i.e. the same Mahr as any other person might give her (in case he married her). So such guardians were forbidden to do that unless they did justice to their female wards and gave them the highest Mahr their peers might get. They were ordered (by Allah, to marry women of their choice other than those orphan girls. `Aisha added, The people asked Allah's Messenger his instructions after the revelation of this Divine Verse whereupon Allah revealed: They ask your instruction regarding women (4.127) `Aisha further said, And the Statement of Allah: And yet whom you desire to marry. (4.127) as anyone of you refrains from marrying an orphan girl (under his guardianship) when she is lacking in property and beauty. `Aisha added, So they were forbidden to marry those orphan girls for whose wealth and beauty they had a desire unless with justice, and that was because they would refrain from marrying them if they were lacking in property and beauty.

Hadith 4474

Narrated Abu Sa`id bin Al-Mu'alla: While I was praying in the Mosque, Allah's Messenger called me but I did not respond to him. Later I said, O Allah's Messenger ! I was praying. He said, Didn't Allah say'-- Give your response to Allah (by obeying Him) and to His Apostle when he calls you. (8.24) He then said to me, I will teach you a Sura which is the greatest Sura in the Qur'an, before you leave the Mosque. Then he got hold of my hand, and when he intended to leave (the Mosque), I said to him, Didn't you say to me, 'I will teach you a Sura which is the greatest Sura in the Qur'an?' He said, Al-Hamdu-Li l-lah Rabbi-l-`alamin (i.e. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds) which is Al-Sab'a Al-Mathani (i.e. seven repeatedly recited Verses) and the Grand Qur'an which has been given to me.

Hadith 4475

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, When the Imam says: 'Ghair-il-Maghdubi `alaihim Walad-Dallin (i.e. not the path of those who earn Your Anger, nor the path of those who went astray (1.7)), then you must say, 'Ameen', for if one's utterance of 'Ameen' coincides with that of the angels, then his past sins will be forgiven.

Hadith 4476

Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, On the Day of Resurrection the Believers will assemble and say, 'Let us ask somebody to intercede for us with our Lord.' So they will go to Adam and say, 'You are the father of all the people, and Allah created you with His Own Hands, and ordered the angels to prostrate to you, and taught you the names of all things; so please intercede for us with your Lord, so that He may relieve us from this place of ours.' Adam will say, 'I am not fit for this (i.e. intercession for you).' Then Adam will remember his sin and feel ashamed thereof. He will say, 'Go to Noah, for he was the first Apostle, Allah sent to the inhabitants of the earth.' They will go to him and Noah will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking.' He will remember his appeal to his Lord to do what he had no knowledge of, then he will feel ashamed thereof and will say, 'Go to the Khalil--r-Rahman (i.e. Abraham).' They will go to him and he will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking. Go to Moses, the slave to whom Allah spoke (directly) and gave him the Torah .' So they will go to him and he will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking.' and he will mention (his) killing a person who was not a killer, and so he will feel ashamed thereof before his Lord, and he will say, 'Go to Jesus, Allah's Slave, His Apostle and Allah's Word and a Spirit coming from Him. Jesus will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking, go to Muhammad the Slave of Allah whose past and future sins were forgiven by Allah.' So they will come to me and I will proceed till I will ask my Lord's Permission and I will be given permission. When I see my Lord, I will fall down in Prostration and He will let me remain in that state as long as He wishes and then I will be addressed.' (Muhammad!) Raise your head. Ask, and your request will be granted; say, and your saying will be listened to; intercede, and your intercession will be accepted.' I will raise my head and praise Allah with a saying (i.e. invocation) He will teach me, and then I will intercede. He will fix a limit for me (to intercede for) whom I will admit into Paradise. Then I will come back again to Allah, and when I see my Lord, the same thing will happen to me. And then I will intercede and Allah will fix a limit for me to intercede whom I will let into Paradise, then I will come back for the third time; and then I will come back for the fourth time, and will say, 'None remains in Hell but those whom the Qur'an has imprisoned (in Hell) and who have been destined to an eternal stay in Hell.' (The compiler) Abu `Abdullah said: 'But those whom the Qur'an has imprisoned in Hell,' refers to the Statement of Allah: They will dwell therein forever. (16.29)

Hadith 4477

Narrated `Abdullah: I asked the Prophet, What is the greatest sin in the Sight of Allah? He said, That you set up a rival unto Allah though He Alone created you. I said, That is indeed a great sin. Then asked, What is next? He said, To kill your son lest he should share your food with you. I asked, What is next? He said, To commit illegal sexual intercourse with the wife of your neighbor.

Hadith 4478

Narrated Sa`id bin Zaid: Allah's Messenger said, The Kam'a (i.e. a kind of edible fungus) is like the Manna (in that it is obtained without effort) and its water is a (medicine) cure for eye trouble.
