حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ أَبِي السَّمْحِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ:‏‏‏‏ كَالْمُهْلِ سورة الكهف آية 29، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَعَكَرِ الزَّيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا قَرَّبَهُ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ سَقَطَتْ فَرْوَةُ وَجْهِهِ فِيهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ رِشْدِينَ.

ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آیت کریمہ: «يوم تكون السماء كالمهل» ”جس دن آسمان تیل کی تلچھٹ کے مانند ہو جائے گا“ ( المعارج: ۸ ) ، میں مہل کی تفسیر کرتے ہوئے فرمایا: ”اس سے مراد تیل کی تلچھٹ ہے، جب کافر اسے اپنے منہ کے قریب لائے گا تو سر کی کھال مع بالوں کے اس میں گر جائے گی“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث غریب ہے اور ہم اسے صرف رشدین کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں۔

Abu Sa’eed narrated : from the Prophet regarding Allah’s saying: Like Al-Muhl – he said: “Like boiling oil, such that when it is brought close to one’s face the skin of his face will fall off into it.”
