حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ جَنَاحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقِيهٌ أَشَدُّ عَلَى الشَّيْطَانِ مِنْ أَلْفِ عَابِدٍ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ایک فقیہ ( عالم ) ہزار عبادت کرنے والوں کے مقابلہ میں اکیلا شیطان پر حاوی اور بھاری ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث غریب ہے۔ ہم اسے ولید بن مسلم کی روایت سے صرف اسی سند جانتے ہیں۔

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The Faqih is harder on Ash-Shaitan than a thousand worshipers.
