حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا حُرَيْثُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، قَال: سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ، يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي حُمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَيْسَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ حَقٌّ فِي سِوَى هَذِهِ الْخِصَالِ بَيْتٌ يَسْكُنُهُ، وَثَوْبٌ يُوَارِي عَوْرَتَهُ، وَجِلْفُ الْخُبْزِ وَالْمَاءِ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَهُوَ حَدِيثُ الْحُرَيْثِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ سَلْمٍ الْبَلْخِيَّ يَقُولُ: قَالَ النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ: جِلْفُ الْخُبْزِ يَعْنِي: لَيْسَ مَعَهُ إِدَامٌ.
عثمان بن عفان رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”دنیا کی چیزوں میں سے ابن آدم کا حق سوائے اس کے اور کچھ نہیں کہ اس کے لیے ایک گھر ہو جس میں وہ زندگی بسر کر سکے اور اتنا کپڑا ہو جس سے وہ اپنا ستر ڈھانپ سکے، اور روٹی اور پانی کے لیے برتن ہوں جن سے وہ کھانے پینے کا جتن کر سکے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث حریث بن سائب کی روایت سے ہے، ۳- میں نے ابوداؤد سلیمان بن سلم بلخی کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ نضر بن شمیل نے کہا: «جلف الخبز» کا مطلب ہے وہ روٹی ہے جس کے ساتھ سالن نہ ہو۔
Uthman bin 'Affan narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said: There is no right for the son of Adam in other than these things: A house which he lives in, a garment which covers his nakedness, and Jilf (a piece of bread) and water.
Ibn 'Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: Two favors that many of the people squander are health and free time.

So Abu Hurairah said: I said: 'I shall O Messenger of Allah!' So he (s.a.w) took my hand and enumerated five (things), he said: Be on guard against the unlawful and you shall be the most worshiping among the people, be satisfied with what Allah has alloted for you and you shall be the richest of the people, be kind to your neighbor and you shall be a believer, love for the people what you love for yourself and you shall be a Muslim. And do not laugh too much, for indeed increased laughter kills the heart.

It was said to him: 'The Paradise and the Fire were mentioned and you did not cry, yet you cry because of this?' So he said: 'Indeed the Messenger of Allah said: Indeed the grave is the first stage among the stages of the Hereafter. So if one is saved from it, then what comes after it is easier than it. And if one is not saved from it, then what comes after it is worse than it. And the Messenger of Allah said: I have not seen any sight except that the grave is more horrible than it.
