حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ عُفَيْرِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ خَيْرُ الْأُضْحِيَّةِ الْكَبْشُ،‏‏‏‏ وَخَيْرُ الْكَفَنِ الْحُلَّةُ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ،‏‏‏‏ وَعُفَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ يُضَعَّفُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ.

ابوامامہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”قربانی کے جانوروں میں سب سے بہتر مینڈھا ہے اور سب سے بہتر کفن «حلة» ( تہبند اور چادر ) ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ۲- عفیر بن معدان حدیث کی روایت میں ضعیف ہیں۔

Narrated Abu Umamah: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The best of Udhiyah (sacrifice) is a ram, and the best (burial) shroud is the Hullah.

Narrated Al-Bara' bin 'Azib: A Marfu' narration (from the Prophet (ﷺ)), saying: A crippled animal whose limp is obvious is not to be slaughtered as sacrifice, nor an animal with a bad eye whose blindness is obvious, nor a sick animal whose sickness is obvious, nor an emaciated animal that has no marrow (in its bones).
